a short walk east —Tattoo Shop near Trinity Bellwoods
Yes Electric Tattoo isn't inside the park, but it's about a ten-minute stroll east along Queen from the Trinity Bellwoods gates. Our studio sits at 499 Queen St W between Spadina and Bathurst, open Noon to Midnight, seven days a week, with walk-ins welcome.
From the gates to our chair
If you know Trinity Bellwoods, you know the iconic restored stone gates at Queen and Strachan, the former Trinity College entrance that anchors the south end of the park. From there it's a flat, easy walk east on Queen West, past the vintage shops, record stores and galleries that line the strip, straight to our door at 499 Queen St W between Spadina and Bathurst. Coming from the north side of the park by Dundas instead? The 505 Dundas or 501 Queen streetcar drops you within a block or two of the studio, so you never have to double back.
It's the kind of route people already do on a lazy west-end afternoon: a picnic on the grass by the Dog Bowl, a coffee on Queen, and then a fresh piece of ink to cap the day. We built our hours around that rhythm, staying open late so you can wander over after the park empties out at dusk. Book ahead or just walk in when the mood strikes - no forms to fill out from home, no waiting weeks for a slot on a small piece.
What you can get done
We're a full studio, not a one-trick shop. If you're coming from a day around the Bowl, you can knock out more than one thing in a single visit:
- Tattoos - fine line, black-and-grey, colour, lettering, cover-ups. Browse our tattoo styles to find your fit.
- Piercings - ears, nose, navel and more, with quality jewellery on hand.
- Tooth gems - a quick, no-drill sparkle that's become a west-end favourite.
- Barber - a fresh cut to go with the new ink.

The Trinity Bellwoods crowd
Trinity Bellwoods is the social living room of the west end. On a summer weekend the slope down to the Dog Bowl fills with picnic blankets, drum circles, dog walkers and the occasional white-squirrel sighting the park is famous for. There's a farmers market in the northwest panhandle on Tuesday afternoons through the warmer months, tennis courts and ball diamonds tucked into the greenery, and the surrounding streets are stacked with the independent design that gives the neighbourhood its look. It's a place people treat as an extension of their living room, not just a park they pass through.
That's exactly the crowd we like. A lot of the work we do for Bellwoods regulars is personal and considered - small first tattoos, matching pieces done with a friend after a day in the grass, meaningful line work, a discreet piercing on impulse. If you're bringing an idea rather than a finished design, our artists are happy to sketch with you and land on something you'll still love in ten years, not just this summer.
Walk-ins, timing and getting here
We're open Noon to Midnight every day, which is unusually late for a tattoo shop and perfect for a neighbourhood that lives outdoors. Walk-ins are genuinely welcome - if you decide on a whim to walk over from the park, there's a real chance we can get you in same-day for a smaller piece, a piercing or a tooth gem. For anything larger or fully custom, a quick booking means your artist can have a design ready when you arrive.
Getting here from the park is simple. On foot it's roughly ten minutes east along Queen from the Strachan gates - a pleasant walk, not a trek. By streetcar, the 501 Queen runs right past us at 499 Queen St W and stops every couple of blocks, so it's a two-minute ride if the weather turns. Green-P and metered street parking sit close by on Queen if you're driving. And to be plain about it: there's no Yes Electric branch inside Trinity Bellwoods - just our one Queen West studio, minutes away.
Explore the rest of the strip
Trinity Bellwoods is one stop on a very walkable stretch of the west end. If you're neighbourhood-hopping, we're also an easy reach from Ossington just up the street, Kensington Market to the east, and the wider downtown core. Wherever you're starting from, the destination is the same chair at 499 Queen St W.
